RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia Business Council (IBC) hosted the Indonesia Economic Summit 2026 as an annual economic forum. It  aimed at fostering collaboration between domestic and international stakeholders amid global economic uncertainty.

The summit takes place over two days, 3 to 4 February 2026, in Jakarta, and is expected to draw hundreds of delegates from 53 countries, including government leaders, business executives, global investors, academics, and representatives of international organizations.

A range of strategic economic issues will be discussed at the forum, including policy coordination, investment opportunities, and efforts to enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness in an increasingly complex global economic landscape.

Carrying the theme Coming Together to Boost Resilient Growth and Shared Prosperity, the Indonesia Economic Summit 2026 is designed as a platform for strategic dialogue to encourage cross-sector collaboration, support national economic transformation, and promote sustainable growth.

The summit also serves as a venue to attract foreign investment from key partner countries, including efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Indonesia and the United Kingdom.

Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said economic ties between Indonesia and the UK have been strengthened through the signing of an Economic Growth Partnership.

“With the UK, an Economic Growth Partnership was signed yesterday. Within this partnership, several sectors are included, such as renewable energy, digitalization, education, and shipbuilding, where they are providing 4 billion pounds sterling to support Indonesia’s shipbuilding industry,” Airlangga stated.

Amid global uncertainty, Indonesia continues to rely on its free and active foreign policy approach. The Indonesia Economic Summit 2026 is expected to generate concrete actions to accelerate national economic growth while reinforcing Indonesia’s position as a key center for investment and economic development in the region.
