RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Government of Indonesia has launched One Data Indonesia (SDI) to ensure that the nation’s strategic programs are executed faster and more accurately. Driven by the Ministry of National Development Planning, One Data Indonesia serves as a cross-sectoral collaboration.

During the signing event of the inter-institutional partnership at Jakarta on Monday, 26 January 2026, the Minister of National Development Planning stated that the primary objective of this collaboration is to create integrated data standards to eliminate duplication and overlapping information between agencies.

"Future national development at both central and regional levels must increasingly be based on data that is trustworthy, accurate, precise, and integrated within One Data Indonesia," Minister Rachmat Pambudy stated during the event.

The Ministry of National Development Planning proved the benefits of SDI during the disaster management efforts in West Sumatra, where cross-sector collaboration successfully provided accurate data to accelerate the recovery of affected areas.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Economy and Digital Transformation at the ministry, Vivi Yulaswati, stated that the synergy between the government, the Indonesian Military (TNI), State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), and academics has been the key to precisely mapping disaster impacts.

Raw data from aerial photography was processed and validated by experts from universities, including Andalas University and IPB University. To build on this success, the Indonesian government is fostering further inter-institutional collaboration in data processing.

"In the last five years, One Data Indonesia forums have been established at both central and regional levels to determine data producers, data stewards, and to resolve any data disputes. Furthermore, a data dictionary, metadata, reference codes, and several guidelines have been developed for data exchange through the government service liaison system," Yulaswati said.

In the economic sector, the benefits of One Data have become a vital instrument for the Ministry of Cooperatives in carrying out the President's instructions to establish 80,000 "Merah Putih" Village/Sub-district Cooperatives. Without precise data, this community-driven program risks losing its direction.
