President Prabowo Holds Closed-Door Meeting After Europe Trip

RRI.CO.ID., Jakarta - Less than 24 hours after returning to Indonesia from an overseas tour of the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and France, President Prabowo Subianto convened a closed-door meeting at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor regency, West Java, on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The meeting brought together senior ministers and state officials to review the implementation of key national strategic programs.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, who attended the meeting, said the session began on Sunday afternoon and continued into the evening. The President called the meeting shortly after his arrival in the country to obtain direct updates on the progress of priority programs across several strategic sectors.

“Upon returning from his overseas visit, President Prabowo wanted to review the progress of several strategic programs from the relevant officials,” Teddy said in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday night, as reported by the Cabinet Secretariat official website.

The meeting was attended by Coordinating Food Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Gen. Agus Subiyanto, and Deputy TNI Commander Gen. Tandyo Budi Revita, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, and National Intelligence Agency (BIN) head M. Herindra.

During the meeting, President Prabowo received progress reports and updates on the latest developments across multiple strategic sectors. Minister Zulkifli presented updates on the development of the Merah Putih Village and Urban Cooperative program, while Minister Bahlil briefed the President on conditions in the energy sector, including oil and gas.

Minister Brian outlined developments in international cooperation in higher education, while Minister Purbaya reported on the current state of the financial and banking sectors.

In the defense sector, Minister Sjafrie and Gen. Agus presented updates on military affairs, while Attn. General Burhanuddin reported on law enforcement efforts related to the regulation and protection of national forest areas.

Photographs released by the Presidential Secretariat showed the meeting was held in a roundtable format, with President Prabowo seated at the center.

He was flanked by the coordinating minister for food affairs and the energy minister. Other ministers and senior officials, including representatives from the military, intelligence agency, and the Attorney General’s Office, were seated around the table.

Also present at the meeting were Presidential Personal Secretary Rizky Irmansyah, state-owned land weapons and ammunition maker PT Pindad president director Sigit P. Santosa, and Defense Ministry Logistics Agency head Air Marshal Yusuf Jauhari, who were seated opposite or behind the senior defense officials. ***
