RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government, through the National Nutrition Agency, continues to expand access to the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) to frontier, outermost, and least developed regions or known as the 3T areas. One of the key measures taken is accelerating the construction of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in regions facing significant geographic challenges.

During a Hearing Meeting with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta, Tuesday, 20 January 2026, Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, stated that hundreds of SPPG units have been built and are now operating across remote areas of Indonesia.

He emphasized that the development of SPPG facilities in 3T regions will continue through special schemes with full government support. “We have worked closely with regional government task forces across Indonesia and identified the need to build 8,617 SPPG units. As of now, 542 units have been completed and are operating, spread across 36 provinces from Sumatra to Maluku and Papua,” Dadan stated.

Beyond expanding access to nutrition services, the National Nutrition Agency is also providing special incentives for partners involved in building SPPG facilities in 3T areas to ensure service sustainability.

“We provide incentives for all partners involved in building SPPG facilities in remote areas. These include full reimbursement of construction costs based on an appraisal process, which is conducted in cooperation with the Directorate General of State Assets,” he said.

“In addition, we offer a 20 percent profit margin for developers. Considering the level of difficulty and time efficiency compared to projects funded through the state budget, we also provide incentives of up to 70 percent for investors,” he stated.
