KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian Government, through the Ministry of Creative Economy, officially launched Ekraf Hub in Jakarta on Thursday (9/10/2025), marking a major step to strengthen the nation’s 17 creative economy sectors under four cultural classifications—arts, design-based creativity, media, and digital technology.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya said that Ekraf Hub represents a key milestone for the nation’s creative ecosystem. It aims to connect creators, entrepreneurs, and consumers through an integrated platform that fosters innovation and collaboration.
According to Riefky, Ekraf Hub will serve not only as a comprehensive database for creative economy players but also as a collaborative hub linking creators with potential buyers. The platform will provide access to skill development programs, market expansion opportunities, and intellectual property registration assistance.
He added that the ministry expects Ekraf Hub to become a central platform supporting creative workers nationwide. The initiative also aligns with the government’s broader agenda to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the creative sector.
Riefky emphasized that collaboration between government institutions and creative communities is essential to boost productivity and competitiveness. By integrating training programs and mentorship, Ekraf Hub seeks to enhance the overall quality of Indonesia’s creative industry outputs.
Meanwhile, Head of the Center for Data and Information at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Reslyana Dwitasari, explained that the platform is designed to function both as an incubator and an accelerator. It will help creative entrepreneurs refine their products and adopt digital technologies to reach international markets.
Reslyana noted that the ministry’s role goes beyond policy-making to providing tangible support for creative talents. Through Ekraf Hub, the government aims to nurture innovation and turn creativity into sustainable business opportunities across sectors.
She expressed optimism that Ekraf Hub will accelerate Indonesia’s digital transformation and expand the nation’s creative industry network globally. With strong collaboration and government support, Indonesia aims to become one of the world’s leading creative economy hubs.
