KBRN, Jakarta: SBY Art Community is presenting a monumental painting exhibition titled “Art for Peace and a Better Future.” The exhibition is held at ASHTA District 8 Jakarta from August 31 to September 28, 2025

“The exhibition features 21 painters, including the 6th President of Indonesia with eight of his works,” Dadam Mahdar, Director of Fine Arts and Performing Arts at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy explained.

The artworks carry themes of peace, sustainability, and intergenerational hope. As quoted by ekraf.go.id, the highlight is a 2.5 x 7-meter collaborative painting by former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the community. The piece is inspired by SBY’s song “Save Our World,” which calls for protecting the Earth.

Coordinator of SBY Art Community, Ediwan Prabowo emphasized the exhibition’s reflective nature. “This exhibition is not just about presenting artworks, but also a reflective and collaborative journey,” he said.

In addition, the program includes Artist Talks that bring together artists and visitors to discuss creative processes, artistic philosophies, and the role of art in building a sustainable future.
