KBRN, Jakarta: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has announced plans to summon North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution concerning a road construction corruption case.

KPK Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu made this statement on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

"If it involves anyone—whether it be superiors, fellow department heads, or even the Governor—we will pursue it. We're coordinating with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK)," Asep said at the KPK's Red and White Building.

He added that investigators are tracing the flow of bribes allegedly paid by private companies in exchange for being awarded road construction projects in North Sumatra.

Asep confirmed that summoning Bobby is within the scope of the investigation. "We will certainly summon him to provide information. No one will be excluded," he said.

He noted that the Head of the North Sumatra Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Agency, initialed TOP, is a close associate of Bobby. TOP previously served as Acting Regional Secretary of Medan City when Bobby was mayor.

In addition to TOP, the KPK revealed that IDR 2 billion had allegedly been funneled to RES, who heads the Regional Task Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the North Sumatra PUPR Agency.

Funds were also reportedly transferred to HEL, which serves as the Commitment-Making Officer (PPK) of the National Road Development Work Unit (PJN) Region I, North Sumatra.

The KPK conducted two sting operations (OTT) in North Sumatra on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The first targeted projects under the North Sumatra PUPR Agency, and the second focused on the PJN Region 1 of North Sumatra. The projects' combined value is estimated at IDR 231.8 billion.

Investigators suspect private companies—PT DNG and PT TN—bribed officials. KIR, President Director of PT DNG, and RAY, Director of PT TN, allegedly paid a total of IDR 2 billion to TOP, RES, and HEL. ***
