Indonesian Maritime Security Agency Officially Opens Joint Field Maneuvering Exercise

KBRN, Jakarta: Head of Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) Vice Admiral TNI Irvansyah, represented by the Director of Training of Indonesian Maritime Security Agency First Admiral Ermawan Susilo, officially opened the Joint Exercise of Security, Safety and Law Enforcement (KKPH) Field Maneuvers at Sea in Bitung, North Sulawesi, Monday (5/5/2025).

The event has been done since May 5 to 8, 2025. The event was attended by 40 participants from Indonesian Maritime Security Agency, the Indonesian Navy, Water and Air Police (Polairud), National Search and Rescue, Marine and Fisheries Resources Supervisory (PSDKP) of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), Customs, and the Sea and Shipping Supervision Unit of the Ministry of Transportation.

In the Press Release received by RRI VOI on Tuesday (6/5/2025), First Admiral Ermawan read the remarks of the Head of Indonesian Maritime Security Agency. He said sustainable guidance needs to be carried out by the participants.

“In order to get better joint patrol results, it is necessary to carry out continuous guidance through joint exercises both classical and field maneuvers designed to approach the actual incident, thereby increasing the ability to maintain and handle security and safety at sea, as well as the synergy that has been formed so far,” he conveyed.

Various subject matters were also given on this exercise including, Licensing for the Transportation of Mining Products by Sea, SAR System, Problems and Target Handling of Fisheries Crime Cases, Law Enforcement at Sea, Overview of Joint Patrols and Joint Patrol Implementation Patterns, Illegal Mining & Fishing Scenarios, and closed with Field Maneuvers.
