e-Porter Service Simplifies Train Travel for Passengers

KBRN, Jakarta: Passengers traveling by train in Indonesia can now enjoy a smoother journey with less hassle, even with large luggage, thanks to the new e-Porter service. This service, provided by KAI Wisata, a subsidiary of the state-owned railway operator KAI, is designed to enhance passenger convenience.

In a statement released, Thursday (20/3/2025), KAI Wisata introduced e-Porter as a solution for transporting luggage within stations, especially during the busy Eid holiday season. Passengers can easily book the e-Porter service through the KAI Wisata app or the Access by KAI app for instant porter assistance.

President Director of KAI Wisata, Hendy Helmy, highlighted the company's ongoing efforts to improve service quality during the Eid 2025 period.

"We are offering a practical solution for homecoming travel by train, making luggage transport easier with the digital e-Porter service," said Helmy.

Passengers can choose between scheduled services using the e-Porter or Access by KAI apps. Alternatively, they can find a porter spot at the station and scan the QR code to access an instant service through the e-Porter app.

"For just 38,000 rupiahs, your luggage will be safely handled," Helmy added.

The e-Porter service accommodates up to 50 kilograms of luggage per passenger, ensuring a convenient and secure travel experience.
