Cyber Unit of the Indonesian Air Force Receives Visit of 49 Basic Cyber Security A-1 Students

KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian Air Force continuously strengthen the cyber capabilities of its personnel to face defense challenges in the digital era. Head of Cyber Unit Colonel Theodorus Radityo received a visit from 49 Basic Cyber Security A-1 students at the Cyber Building of the Air Force, Cilangkap, Wednesday (19/3/2025).

In a Press Release received by RRI World Service, VOI on Thursday (20/3/2025), Head of Operations Section of Cyber Unit, Security and Password Service, Lieutenant Colonel Dwi Cahyo Budiman, Head of Cyber Unit affirmed that advances in information technology have brought great benefits in many sectors, but they are also followed by increasingly complex cyber threats, including to the national defense sector.

“Understanding and awareness of cyber security is an absolute must for all of us. I hope that all students can absorb the insights and skills provided in this practice, so that they are able to deal with various potential cyber threats, both on individual and institutional scale,” Colonel Theodorus conveyed.

Commander of the 506 Education Squadron, Lieutenant Colonel Rizan Fadli explained that this visit was an important momentum for students to deepen their understanding of cyber security systems and increase synergy between education units and cyber units.

“In the world of modern defense, the existence of cyber units is very strategic. Therefore, cooperation between educational units and cyber operational units is a must in preparing highly competent personnel in securing the national defense system,” he pointed out.

The visit was attended by 49 students consisting of 6 officers, 21 non-commissioned officers, and 22 enlisted men from various corps and units.
