KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesian Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini made appeal to qualified state civil apparatus (ASN) candidate to remain patient for their official appointment, saying that she had reported the matter to President Prabowo Subianto.

The Indonesian public, particularly the 2024 prospective ASN candidates who have passed the selection process, have raised concerns about the uncertainty surrounding their appointment as government employees.

Based on the State Employment Agency (BKN) Circular No. 02/PANPEL.BKN/CPNS/IX/2024, the appointment of ASN candidates should be done between February 22 and March 23, 2025, while for PPPK (government employees with work agreements) is between February and July 2025.

Minister Rini stated that she had reported the adjustment of the appointment schedule for the 2024 qualified ASN candidates to President Prabowo Subianto.

"It has been reported to the President," she said after a closed meeting at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday, March 10, 2025, as reported by rri.co.id.

However, she refrained from providing extensive comments to the media. She urged the 2024 ASN candidate who have passed the selection process to remain patient. She emphasized that a presidential instruction (Inpres) concerning the issue would be announced by the government.

Regarding the reason behind the postponement of appointment schedule, Minister Rini revealed that her party had to align data on formations, positions and placements. This is because a number of government agencies still need time to complete the ASN recruitment processes.

On the other hand, Minister Rini explained that so far, the Effective Date (TMT) for the appointment of civil servants (ASN) has not been uniform. Each institution has its own TMT. ***
