KBRN, Jakarta: Former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil has pledged full cooperation with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the alleged corruption case involving the West Java and Banten Regional Development Bank (BJB).

KPK investigators recently searched Ridwan's residence in Bandung, West Java.

"It is true that the KPK team visited us regarding the matter at BJB Bank. As responsible citizens, we are fully cooperative and professionally support the KPK team," Ridwan stated on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, as reported by rri.co.id.

However, Ridwan refrained from commenting on the results of the search conducted by KPK investigators.

"Regarding other related matters, we cannot preempt the KPK team in providing information," he added.

KPK Deputy Chairman Fitrih Cahyanto confirmed the search at Ridwan's residence, which is linked to allegations of corruption at BJB Bank.

The KPK has identified five suspects in connection with the case but has yet to disclose their identities.

“About five people,” said Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto, KPK spokesperson at the Red and White Building in Jakarta on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Previously, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto revealed that an investigation order had been issued for the case involving the West Java and Banten Regional Development Bank (BJB). He shared this information when asked about other law enforcement agencies possibly investigating the same case.

"Yes, because we have issued an investigation order. If other law enforcement agencies are involved, it will be up to the investigation director and task force head to coordinate," said Setyo Budiyanto at the Anti-Corruption Learning Center (ACLC) in South Jakarta on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Setyo said that if other law enforcement agencies are indeed handling the same case, the KPK will coordinate with them.

Regarding the suspect, he emphasized that decisions on further actions will rest with the investigators managing the case. "It is up to the investigators, directors, or deputies to decide on follow-up actions," he added.

It has been reported that the KPK is investigating allegations of a markup involving advertising placement funds at BJB Bank. The case pertains to the period between 2021 and 2023, with an estimated total amount of IDR 200 billion (approximately USD 12.25 million). ***
