KBRN, Jakarta: Communication and Technology (Komdigi) Deputy Minister Nezar Patria said, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is needed in Indonesia. However, its introduction must be carried out gradually to the community.

According to Nezar, the public needs to recognize the use of AI based on its use category to improve the economy, whether it is people with academic abilities or the general public as the lower middle class

“We also do this AI introduction gradually. Some are at the industrial level, some are at the academic level, some are at the general user level,” said Nezar after the launch of a book entitled 'Memahami AI: Sebuah Panduan Etik,' (Understanding AI: An Ethical Guidance), Thursday.

Therefore, according to Nezar, the government continuously intensifies the introduction of AI by giving literacy to the public, including literacy on technological devices.

Nezar explained that introducing AI is a way to create digital talents that recognize its components. Thus, Nezar hopes that technological development can increase the people's economic value.

“Digital talent is one of the key elements that will increase the growth of our digital economy. The more people involved in the digital industry, the more we hope it can drive national economic growth as a whole," Nezar said. ***
