RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia Comic Con (ICC) will celebrate its tenth anniversary on October 3–4, 2026, bringing together multi‑sector pop culture industries across the Hall Expo and Arena at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Organized by Panorama Media, the convention serves as a hub for comics, toys, films, video games, music, cosplay, and creative fan communities.
As reported by Antara, for its 2026 edition, ICC will host Japanese‑American actor Mackenyu Arata as its main guest on October 4. The announcement was made through a caption on ICC’s official social media account @indonesiacomiccon on Sunday.
Mackenyu is known for his roles as cadet Ryoichi in Pacific Rim Uprising, Seiya in the live‑action Knights of the Zodiac, and Roronoa Zoro in the live‑action One Piece series.
His appearance in Jakarta marks his first Comic Con event in Indonesia and is highly anticipated by fans of Japanese comic‑adaptation cinema. The 29‑year‑old actor, son of the late action star Sonny Chiba, will turn 30 on November 16.
Before gaining global recognition through One Piece, Mackenyu began his Hollywood career in 2018 with Pacific Rim Uprising, followed by his widely praised performance as Yukishiro Enishi in Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (2021).
ICC’s tenth‑anniversary celebration will feature a wide range of pop culture elements, including comics, toys, films, games, music, cosplay, and creative communities.
Panorama Media leadership earlier visited the Ministry of Creative Economy on Monday, September 7, where Director Andita Tirtawisata and ICC Project Manager Lulu Anwar outlined a collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) to promote creator exchange between Indonesia and Hong Kong.
The organizers also highlighted ICC’s original intellectual property, Kapten Sultan, which remains open for strategic development and cross‑sector collaboration to strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem. **
