RRI.CO.ID, Tangerang - Designer, Anne Avantie, unveiled a limited-edition eco-friendly shopping bag to mark Earth Day. Launched at an Alfamart Drive Thru in Gading Serpong , Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the initiative serves a dual purpose, which is supporting the government's mandate to eliminate single-use plastics while celebrating the enduring spirit of Kartini Day.

The collaboration between the renowned couturier and the retail giant Alfamart highlights a growing movement toward sustainable lifestyle choices driven by local craftsmanship. Named Puspa Kinasih, which translates to "the beloved flower," the bag features an elegant floral and butterfly motif set against soft, warm tones.

Anne explained that the design was inspired by the arduous journey of Alfamart’s founders, likening their struggle and growth to the metamorphosis of a butterfly. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the production of the bag is a testament to community empowerment.

"This bag was made directly by MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) artisans in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The entire production process, from start to finish, was carried out locally with maintained quality standards. This is a work that participates in protecting the earth," said Anne Avantie, as quoted by Antara.

The designer emphasized that environmental stewardship must be a personal conviction, noting that the bag serves as a modern symbol of a woman’s strength and compassion.

"This bag is also presented in the spirit of commemorating Kartini Day and carries a message about love, perseverance, and the strength of women in daily life. This bag serves as a simple yet meaningful symbol that Kartini's values remain alive in daily activities, even in something as small as carrying a shopping bag," she added.

The material was specifically chosen for its durability, ensuring it remains functional for both grocery runs and diverse daily activities.

Supporting this vision, Alfamart Marketing Director Ryan Alfons Kaloh noted that the exclusive product arrives at a pivotal time of heightened environmental awareness and a preference for local goods. He believes that shifting small habits can lead to significant ecological and social benefits.

"Because, from small habits like carrying your own shopping bag, there lies a story about sustainability, empowerment, and the spirit of Kartini that continues to live in daily life," he remarked.

The Puspa Kinasih collection will initially be available at Alfamart outlets across the Greater Jakarta area, with tens of thousands of units already prepared for distribution.

Expansion to other regions is currently in progress as the MSME artisans in Yogyakarta scale production. Consumers can purchase the bag directly for IDR 300,000 (17.46 USD), or at a special price of IDR 75,000 (4.75 USD) with a minimum purchase of IDR 150,000 (8.73 USD) at selected locations. *
