RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The 21st edition of the myBCA International Java Jazz Festival is set to broaden its musical horizons by introducing a diverse array of new performers, including the highly anticipated South Korean indie-pop band Wave to Earth. Scheduled to take place from May 29 to 31, 2026, at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Tangerang, the festival continues its tradition of blending global sounds with local excellence.
As reported by Antara, President Director of PT Java Festival Production, Dewi F. Gontha, highlighted the inclusion of the Korean trio as a fresh direction for the event’s lineup.
"Maybe what's different now is we have Wave to Earth, we've never had them before. They are from Korea but they are still a band, their format remains a band," said Dewi during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Beyond the Korean wave, the prestigious festival will showcase a rich cultural exchange featuring Brazilian musicians in collaboration with Indonesian artists. The international roster is further bolstered by the inclusion of a large-scale orchestra and a prominent big band traveling from Australia.
The domestic lineup offers equally compelling sets, including a "Tribute to The Beatles" performance by singer Bilal Indrajaya. Fans can also look forward to a specialized collaborative stage featuring Ardhito Pramono alongside soloist Adikara.
Confirmed headliners for this 21st anniversary edition include global powerhouse Jon Batiste and the Earth, Wind and Fire Experience by Al McKay. These international icons will share the stage with Indonesian legends and contemporary stars such as Slank, RAN, Maliq & D’Essentials, and Yura Yunita.
The festival’s initial phase also features a sophisticated mix of international talent, including Ella Mai, Joao Sabia, and Frank McComb, alongside rising Indonesian voices like Ziva Magnolia and The Lantis. Organizers have indicated that this expansive list is only the beginning, with additional performers expected to be revealed in the coming weeks to complete the festival's ambitious lineup.***
