KBRN, Malang: The “Re-JEANeration” program became a major highlight at the Kita Indonesia Volume 2 event, showcasing an innovative initiative to transform denim waste into usable products.

Zizi Rafika R, founder of Feyzion Style Hub, fashion designer, and creativepreneur, explained that the program processes discarded denim into high-value items.

“Re-JEANeration utilizes used denim waste to create high-value products,” Zizi said on Saturday, November 22, 2025. She emphasized that the program differs from conventional recycling methods.

“We obtain the denim waste from donations made by creative Gen-Z members,” she added.

The resulting products are diverse, ranging from accessories and eco-pouches to ties, tote bags, and hats, all crafted from repurposed denim. “All our products are given away for free as eco-gifts to the denim donors,” Zizi noted, adding that the program also seeks to build design character through sustainable work.

She stressed that denim is a material that decomposes very slowly, making the initiative an important step in reducing environmental pollution through sustainable fashion.

“Denim is difficult to decompose and has a major impact on the environment,” Zizi concluded. Re-JEANeration was established as a sustainable fashion movement to address denim’s environmental impact. (Diva Rifdah/Lasti Martina)
