SSEAYP 2027 Opens Opportunity for Indonesian Youth to Build Overseas Network

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) 2027 once again provides Indonesian youth with an opportunity to broaden their horizons, develop their capacities, and build international networks with young people from ASEAN countries and Japan.

SSEAYP is an international youth exchange program organized by the Government of Japan in cooperation with ASEAN countries. The program brings together young people from different countries through a series of activities that promote interaction, experience-sharing, and cross-cultural understanding.

SSEAYP 2027 is scheduled to take place from January 3 to February 5, 2027. Participants will take part in various activities, including a joint voyage, discussions and panel sessions, workshops on global issues, and homestays with host families.

Through the program, participants will have the opportunity to gain international experience while broadening their understanding of the cultures and daily lives of people in other countries. They will also develop communication and teamwork skills and build networks with young people from ASEAN countries and Japan.

The selection process for Indonesian delegates will be conducted in stages. The provincial-level selection will take place from September 3 to 17, 2026, with each province nominating three candidates to proceed to the national selection.

The national selection is scheduled for September 21 and 22, 2026. The results will be announced on September 24, while the names of the selected delegates are scheduled to be submitted on September 30, 2026. The selected delegates will then participate in SSEAYP 2027 from January to February 2027.

Participation in SSEAYP provides Indonesian youth with an opportunity to build friendships and international networks with young people from different countries. The experience is expected to help them develop their potential while encouraging youth collaboration at the international level.
