RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Rescue teams successfully evacuated Chinese national Li Xianhua (47) in stable condition after he survived a fall on the Senaru-Batu Ceper trail within Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR), Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
Mataram SAR Chief Muhamad Hariyadi said the joint team reached Senaru post with the survivor at 4:47 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, before transferring him to Nusa Medica Clinic Sembalun for further treatment.
Li had reportedly slipped around 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, suffering a severe head injury that left him unconscious.
The emergency call was relayed by Emergency Medical and Health Center (EMHC) representatives, prompting SAR Mataram to deploy rescue units from Sembalun, later reinforced by personnel from Bangsal and Mataram.
“Our priority was to reach the victim quickly and provide immediate medical aid, given his reported head trauma,” Hariyadi explained. Teams were equipped with mountaineering gear, medical evacuation tools, and operational vehicles to support the mission.
By 8:15 p.m., rescuers managed to reach Li and began a relay evacuation toward Senaru post. The operation involved coordinated efforts from TNGR staff, East Lombok SAR, EMHC, Nusa Medica Clinic, local police, military units, porters, and mountain guides.
“With the survivor safely evacuated, the SAR operation has been officially concluded,” Hariyadi confirmed. ***
