President Prabowo Backs to Indonesia After Completing Agenda in Russia

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived back in Indonesia in the early hours of Friday, September 4, 2026, after concluding his visit to Russia. He had previously accepted an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok as the forum’s main guest of honor.

"The aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his delegation landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at around 3:00 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesia Time)," the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat said in a statement.

"Welcoming the President at the foot of the aircraft were Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Commander of Indonesian Military (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo," the secretariat said.

During his time in Vladivostok, President Prabowo took part in some important engagements, including a bilateral meeting with Putin. During the meeting, Putin described Indonesia as a key Russian partner in the Asia-Pacific.

In addition, President Prabowo delivered a speech at the 11th EEF as the main guest of honor. At the forum, which brought together government leaders, business figures, and economic stakeholders, the President shared Indonesia’s views on opportunities for cooperation with Russia and the Eurasian region, including the importance of viewing the Pacific region as a strategic space.

"The Pacific Ocean does not separate us. The Pacific Ocean connects us. It is not a wall between us. It must become a highway between our two economies," Prabowo said.

According to the secretariat, Prabowo’s visit to Vladivostok reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening relations with Russia as a strategic partner, particularly in economic cooperation, trade, investment, and connectivity. After completing the full series of engagements, Prabowo and his delegation immediately returned to Indonesia.
