Iranian Embassy Condemns US Attacks on Several Areas in Iran

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia condemned the United States’ attacks on several areas in Iran on September 1, 2026, and reaffirmed the Iranian government’s determination to defend its independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity. In a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Iranian Embassy described the attacks as acts of aggression that violated Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We reaffirm the determination and will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to firmly defend its independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity,” the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia stated.

The Iranian Embassy also stated that under international law, providing facilities and territory of one country to another country to attack a third country could be considered participation in and assistance with an act of aggression.

According to the Iranian Embassy, such circumstances give the victim state the right to take defensive action against the source of aggression. The embassy also highlighted alleged violations by the United States of the United Nations Charter, international law, human rights, and international humanitarian law.

The embassy also called on the United Nations, particularly the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General, to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the UN Charter.

The Iranian Embassy urged independent and sovereign countries, including Indonesia, to condemn the attacks and take steps to respond to what it described as acts of aggression.

“For this reason, the embassy calls on all independent and sovereign countries around the world, including Indonesia, to strongly and unequivocally condemn these attacks and take immediate action to address these crimes,” the statement said.

In its statement, the Iranian Embassy said the US attacks on Tuesday night, September 1, 2026, targeted several civilian areas and telecommunications infrastructure in the provinces of Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan, and Kerman.

According to the Iranian side, the attacks resulted in the deaths and injuries of several women, children, and other Iranian civilians.
