RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfattah A.K Al-Sattari, has praised Indonesia’s consistent support for the Palestinian struggle for independence. Speaking at Palestine Day in Jakarta on Friday, August 21, 2026, Al-Sattari said Indonesia has consistently supported Palestine through various international forums, including the United Nations (UN) and the Human Rights Council.
Indonesia has also been actively encouraging other countries to support the Palestinian cause.
"The very important thing is that Indonesia always supports Palestine in the UN and Human Rights Council. Not only support Palestine, sometimes she asks other countries to stand with Palestine and support Palestine," Al-Sattari said.
He said international support for Palestine has continued to grow as the world pays greater attention to the suffering of the Palestinian people under prolonged occupation. He said Indonesia is among the countries providing strong support for Palestine.
"We have very big support here. We have huge support for Palestine from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the government of Indonesia, the Parliament of Indonesia, Muslim scholars, Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, the business community, and all Muslim groups here. They stand with Palestine," he conveyed.
Al-Sattari added that the Palestinian government remains committed to strengthening its relations with Indonesia. The two countries will continue to enhance bilateral cooperation, including through several agreements that are expected to be signed soon.
He also expressed his appreciation for the support from various segments of Indonesian society, which he said continue to demonstrate solidarity with Palestine.
