RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The successful organization of Hajj 1447H/2026 has paved the way for deeper collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, with the Saudi Embassy in Jakarta and Saudia Airlines reaffirming their commitment to improving services for pilgrims.

The partnership was highlighted during the Hajj Appreciation 2026 event in Jakarta on Thursday, July 9, 2026, held to honor government agencies, airport authorities, and strategic partners who contributed to smooth operations this year.

Director of East Asia and Australia for Saudia Airlines, Reham Zarei, said the recognition reflects the synergy among stakeholders. Saudia Airlines served around 101,860 Indonesian pilgrims across six embarkation points--Jakarta Pondok Gede, Bekasi, Batam, Palembang, Kertajati, and Surabaya.

“This success is the result of strong collaboration ensuring safe, smooth, and timely operations,” Zarei said, as quoted by Antara, adding that the achievement sets the foundation for enhanced services in the future.

Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Faisal Abdullah Al-Amoudi emphasized that the accomplishment demonstrates the Kingdom’s commitment to continually improving services for Muslims worldwide.

He credited the guidance of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the well‑established system that supported this year’s Hajj.

Al-Amoudi also underscored the close ties between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, noting the large number of Indonesian pilgrims as a reflection of the partnership’s importance.

He extended gratitude to all parties involved, including airport authorities and the Ministries of Hajj and Umrah in both countries.

As a gesture of appreciation, the Saudi Embassy and Saudia Airlines presented awards to more than 20 Indonesian Hajj organizers, recognizing their dedication and service. ***
