RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will convene the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders’ Retreat in Jakarta on Monday, July 6, 2026, reaffirming the deep bilateral ties between the two neighbors.

According to a statement from the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the meeting will provide updates on bilateral projects launched since the last retreat in June 2025 in Singapore.

Both leaders are also expected to explore new mechanisms for cooperation in mutually beneficial sectors and exchange views on regional and global developments, Antara reported.

This will be their second Leaders’ Retreat, underscoring the commitment of both governments to strengthen collaboration.

Prime Minister Wong will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong, Defence Minister and Minister-in-Charge of Public Service Chan Shun Sing, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Social and Family Development Minister Masagos Zulkifli, and Manpower Minister and Minister-in-Charge of Energy and Science & Technology Tan See Leng.

The 2025 retreat produced concrete outcomes, including 19 strategic agreements across multiple sectors and five memorandums of understanding (MoUs).

These covered areas such as food security and agricultural technology, sustainable industrial development, cross-border electricity trade, and carbon capture and storage.

The upcoming Jakarta retreat is expected to build on these achievements, further deepening cooperation while reinforcing the long-standing partnership between Singapore and Indonesia. ***
