RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesia's Foreign Minister, along with the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, strongly condemned the continued and escalating violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement issued on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026, the eight countries specifically condemned recent attacks on the Grand Mosque in the village of Jiljilya and the Al-Farouq Mosque in the village of Mazar’a al-Nubani, north of Ramallah.

“The Foreign Ministers of Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and United Arab Emirates condemn in the strongest terms the continued and escalating settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including recent attacks on the Grand Mosque in the village of Jiljilya and Al-Farouq Mosque in the village of Mazar’a al-Nubani, north of Ramallah,” the joint statement said.

The ministers emphasized that the attacks constitute a clear violation of the sanctity of places of worship and religious sites, and are contrary to international law, including international humanitarian law and various United Nations (UN) resolutions. They also expressed full rejection of these attacks carried out by Israeli settlers, as well as the ongoing illegal measures in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

According to the statement, these actions have worsened instability, fueled violence and extremism, and hindered international efforts to achieve peace. The ministers stressed that Israel, as the occupying power, bears responsibility for these attacks.

They again called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by urging Israel to stop the dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, end illegal practices, halt settler violence, and ensure that perpetrators of such crimes are held accountable.

They also emphasized that there must be no impunity for those committing violence against Palestinians and places of worship.

In the joint statement, the ministers reaffirmed their full solidarity with the Palestinian people and support for the realization of their legitimate and inalienable national rights, including the right to self-determination. They reiterated support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The ministers also expressed support for all efforts aimed at ending the Israeli occupation and achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution in accordance with international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
