RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s young business leaders are positioning themselves at the forefront of efforts to deepen economic and industrial cooperation with Germany, a country seen as one of Indonesia’s most strategic partners in Europe.
Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), Ade Jona Prasetyo, said that Germany offers significant opportunities in investment, technology, manufacturing, vocational education, and sustainable industry development.
“We see many opportunities to strengthen concrete cooperation, particularly in investment, technology transfer, value-added industries, renewable energy, and human resource development,” he noted in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
He emphasized that President Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s state visit to Jakarta underscores the importance of bilateral ties and opens wider avenues for collaboration between businesses in both countries.
HIPMI, as Indonesia’s largest entrepreneurs’ organization, is ready to serve as a bridge connecting Indonesian businesses with German counterparts.
Ade Jona highlighted the enthusiasm of Indonesia’s young entrepreneurs to collaborate internationally, aiming to boost national competitiveness and expand access to global markets.
“Indonesia and Germany share a strong foundation. HIPMI is prepared to be a strategic partner in fostering business cooperation, investment, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship programs that benefit both nations,” he said.
He added that Germany’s experience in building modern manufacturing industries and vocational education systems could serve as a valuable reference for Indonesia’s industrial and business ecosystem.
Strengthened ties, he believes, will also create opportunities for Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and young entrepreneurs to enter global supply chains and European markets.
“We believe robust economic cooperation will be a vital foundation for strengthening relations between the two countries. Young Indonesian entrepreneurs are ready to be part of Indonesia-Germany’s strategic partnership in the future,” Ade Jona concluded. ***
