RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially received the credentials of eight new foreign ambassadors at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday, June 8, 2026. The ceremony marks the official beginning of the ambassadors' diplomatic duties in Indonesia.

The event was attended by diplomats from various friendly nations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anis Matta, explained that the meeting highlighted Indonesia’s current diplomatic direction.

According to him, President Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s long-standing "free and active" foreign policy principles. Indonesia remains committed to staying neutral and will not join any global military alliances.

“Earlier, the President only explained to the ambassadors Indonesia’s principle in international diplomacy, that we are free and active.
