RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy officially sent off two Young Lions Indonesia 2026 finalists to compete on the international stage. The two selected talents are Nia Maulani and Muhammad Daffa Aulia, who will represent the nation at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2026 in Cannes, France.

The send-off ceremony took place in Jakarta on Monday, June 8, 2026, and was attended by Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya. At the event, the minister affirmed that the government has provided full support to both delegates, from mentoring to coordination with various parties.

He stressed the importance of creating as much space as possible for Indonesia's creative talents to keep achieving their best. In his view, success at the national level must serve as a springboard toward recognition on the global stage.

Minister Teuku Riefky also expressed hope that Indonesia's presence at Cannes would open doors to international recognition of the country's creative human resources. "All parties must give room for these talents to keep excelling, not only at the national level, but hopefully on the global stage as well." the Minister said.

Indonesia's participation in Cannes Lions is not merely a competition, but also a strategic moment to strengthen the position of the national creative industry in the eyes of the world. This aligns with the government's vision of making the creative economy a new engine of growth for Indonesia.

He wants the world to see that Indonesian talent is every bit as capable as that of any developed nation."So that the world, and worldwide, can see that Indonesian talent is on par with that of developed countries," the Minister of Creative Economy said.

Nia Maulani takes on the role of copywriter, while Muhammad Daffa Aulia serves as art director in the prestigious competition. Cannes Lions is widely regarded as the world's most prominent awards show and festival for the advertising, marketing, and creative communications industries.

With the backing of the Ministry of Creative Economy, the advertising sub-sector once again affirms its place as one of the nation's most significant creative economic forces. The participation of both delegates is hoped to inspire Indonesia's younger generation to keep sharpening their creativity and boldly compete on the world stage.
