Argentina Welcomes Easier Travel Access to Indonesia

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Argentina has welcomed efforts to strengthen tourism connectivity with Indonesia. The Argentine Ambassador to Indonesia, Gustavo Ricardo Coppa, made the statement n Jakarta on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

He said Indonesia's Visa on Arrival facility has made travel more convenient for Argentine tourists. He also noted that Argentina offers a fast visa process for Indonesian citizens visiting the country.

Speaking to RRI Voice of Indonesia, Coppa highlighted both countries' efforts to facilitate travel. He said easier visa access can help encourage more tourist exchanges and highlighted the benefits of the current visa arrangements.

"Visa on arrival is a very great facility for Argentinian tourists. And as well, we have a visa system. Argentina has a visa system that Indonesian can have the visa too fast. It's not exactly the visa on arrival, but we are offering a very, very fast visa for Indonesian tourists to go to visit Argentina as well." Coppa said.

The ambassador also noted that Indonesia remains a popular destination among Argentine travelers. He said many tourists continue to visit Indonesia despite the long distance between the two countries.

Coppa added that Bali remains the most recognized Indonesian destination in Argentina. However, Argentine tourists are increasingly exploring other destinations across the archipelago.

"We have a very great number of Argentinian tourists here in Indonesia right now. Of course, the main place is Bali, but they are also in other islands around it. For example, in Lombok." Coppa said.

According to him, promoting destinations beyond Bali remains an important effort. He said Indonesia offers many attractions that deserve greater recognition among Argentine travelers.
