RRI.CO.ID, Medan - A massive Eid al-Adha sacrifice program organized by PT Aliyah Rizq Agriculture at Al Fatih Islamic Boarding School in Hamparan Perak, Deliserdang, North Sumatra, has earned Asia and ASEAN records for scale and impact.
The event, held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, involved the slaughter and distribution of 1,900 sheep--an unprecedented achievement in the region, Antara recorded.
“This record was achieved not only because of the sheer number of animals, but also due to the extensive and well-organized distribution of sacrificial livestock,” CEO of Aliyah Rizq Holdings Pte Ltd, Dato Seri Ashraf Bakar, said in Medan on Friday, May 29.
He emphasized that the milestone reflects the company’s commitment to social and religious programs that deliver tangible benefits to communities.
According to Ashraf, the initiative was carefully prepared long in advance, from ensuring the quality of livestock and slaughter facilities to mapping out recipients across remote villages, Islamic boarding schools, and communities in need.
Every animal underwent strict health checks, age verification, and compliance with Islamic requirements. The company also collaborated with local farmers in North Sumatra; a move aimed at empowering regional livestock producers while maintaining a steady supply of quality sacrificial animals.
“Through this achievement, Aliyah Rizq strengthens its position as a trusted and professional organizer of qurban programs, with a strong social orientation,” Ashraf noted.
Headquartered in Singapore, PT Aliyah Rizq has long been entrusted by communities in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia to manage sacrificial livestock and distribute meat to rightful recipients.
Raja Metar XI, Tuanku Muhammad Fauzi, who attended the event as a partner in the slaughter process, praised the company’s efforts.
“We highly appreciate this qurban program because it truly benefits society. The success in earning Asia and ASEAN records is a source of pride for North Sumatra, which has become a trusted site for sacrifices from Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia,” he said.
He expressed hope that such initiatives will continue, serving as a positive example of solidarity, social care, and strengthening of communal bonds. ***
