The program, held from February 26 to May 8, 2026, brought together hundreds of officers from around the world.
The two Indonesian participants were Capt. Pnb Chessa Razky Surya Bhaskara and Capt. Pnb Sandy Tyas Febrianto, who graduated alongside 559 officers--536 from the United States Air Force (USAF) and 23 from other nations.
Capt. Chessa distinguished himself by earning the title of Distinguished Graduate (DG), one of the most prestigious honors in USAF officer education. The award recognizes outstanding achievement across academics, leadership, communication, teamwork, physical fitness, and peer and instructor evaluations.
Squadron Officer School is the USAF’s officer development program, equivalent to Indonesia’s Sekolah Komando Kesatuan Angkatan Udara (Sekkau). It focuses on leadership, communication, international cooperation, and decision-making in modern air operations.
Participants undergo leadership simulations and operational decision-making exercises, while also building professional networks across air forces worldwide.
The participation of Capt. Chessa and Capt. Sandy reflects the Indonesian Air Force’s commitment to enhancing human resource quality and strengthening international cooperation with the USAF in education and professional military development. (Diva Rifdah)
