RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah increases preparations for the Hajj peak phase as all Indonesian pilgrims have arrived in Makkah and entered final preparations before departing to Arafah. The Ministry spokesperson, Maria Assegaff, delivered the update during the ministry’s press conference in Jakarta on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

She has also said that Indonesian pilgrims will begin departing for Arafah on 8 Dzulhijjah. The departures will be conducted gradually in three scheduled trips from pilgrims’ hotels in Makkah.

The three departure schedules are set for 7 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 4:30 p.m. Saudi Arabia time. Indonesian authorities urged pilgrims to follow officers’ instructions during the Armuzna movement process.

She reminded pilgrims not to move independently or separate from their travel groups during the transfers. She emphasized that discipline remains important during the crowded and physically demanding pilgrimage phase.

The spokesperson also explained that the Arafah Task Force departed early Sunday to finalize Armuzna service preparations. Officers are ensuring readiness for tents, food distribution, transportation, healthcare, and worship guidance services.

Maria said Indonesian pilgrims will begin departing for Arafah gradually on 8 Dzulhijjah. She urged pilgrims to follow officers’ instructions and remain with their groups during the movement process.

“Tomorrow, on 8 Dzulhijjah, the movement of Indonesian pilgrims from hotels to Arafah will begin gradually. Therefore, we urge all pilgrims to follow the schedule, obey officers’ instructions, avoid moving independently, and remain with their groups,” she said.

Maria also encouraged pilgrims to maintain their physical condition before departing for Arafah. She advised pilgrims to rest adequately, eat regularly, and drink enough water during preparations.

Pilgrims were advised to carry only essential belongings, including identification cards, medicines, and worship necessities. The ministry also warned against carrying excessive luggage, valuables, or large amounts of cash.
