RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s representation at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in Uzbekistan will include M. Arya Razan, a student from state-run Islamic senior high school Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendekia (MAN IC) Serpong, who earned his place among the nation’s top young chemists
Arya secured his spot after ranking second out of 14 participants in the national training camp’s Stage II selection, placing him among the four best candidates chosen to join the Indonesian delegation.
His achievement positions him to compete at one of the world’s most prestigious chemistry competitions, where students from across the globe will vie for medals and recognition in the field.
MAN IC Serpong Principal Hilal Najmi praised Arya’s success as a source of pride for the school community. “We hope Arya can deliver his best performance and bring honor to Indonesia on the international stage,” Hilal said on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, as quoted on the Ministry of Religious Affairs official website.
Hilal added that Arya’s accomplishment demonstrates the ability of madrasah students to compete globally in science. “This proves that madrasah students have global competitiveness and can shine internationally through academic excellence, particularly in science,” he noted.
Arya’s participation in IChO 2026 also reinforces the reputation of madrasah institutions as incubators of globally competitive talent, aligning with the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Kemenag Berdampak (Impactful Ministry of Religious Affairs) initiative to nurture student potential. ***
