On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Chairman of the Indonesian National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS RI), Sodik Mudjahid, held a meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Sultan bin Mubarak Saad Al-Dosari, at the Qatari Embassy in Jakarta, BAZNAS official website reported.
The meeting served not only as institutional diplomacy but also as an effort to strengthen strategic ties between BAZNAS and the Qatar government, with both sides emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation in humanitarian efforts and community empowerment.
Discussions highlighted shared concerns over global economic uncertainty and its impact on vulnerable communities, with both parties exploring solutions through collaborative programs.

He also presented BAZNAS programs funded by zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS), underscoring the agency’s commitment to professionalism, transparency, and impact.
The meeting was attended by several BAZNAS officials, including Director of Research and Development M. Hasbi Zaenal and other senior representatives, while the Qatari delegation included Second Secretary Talab Ali H.A. Al-Marri.
