RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia reported smooth progress on the ninth day of the 1447H/2026 Hajj operations on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The update highlights orderly departures and arrivals supported by integrated services across all points.

Head of Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Indonesia, Moh. Hasan Afandi, said operations remain well-managed. He noted that pilgrims continue to receive full assistance from departure to arrival.

As of April 28, 2026, a total of 47,834 pilgrims have departed in 122 flight groups. Meanwhile, 44,315 pilgrims in 113 groups have arrived in Madinah and moved into their accommodations.

“Overall, the Hajj operations are running smoothly and under control. All pilgrims receive services from departure until arrival in Madinah with assistance from officers,” Moh. Hasan Afandi said.

He emphasized the importance of complying with baggage regulations for flight safety. Pilgrims are urged not to carry prohibited items or accept unknown items from others.

“This is not just an administrative rule, but a matter of flight safety and protection for all pilgrims. Compliance is key to ensuring a safe and comfortable journey,” he added.

The Ministry also confirmed that all pilgrims affected by technical flight issues have been successfully transported. Earlier delayed groups have now arrived in Saudi Arabia safely.

In addition, the Ministry responded to a bus accident in Madinah involving several Indonesian pilgrims. All affected pilgrims have received medical treatment and assistance from officers.

Moh. Hasan Afandi stressed the importance of coordination with official officers, including for Hajj guidance groups. He warned against unauthorized charges and activities outside official arrangements.
