RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - Indonesia warns Hajj pilgrims to be cautious of scams related to Raudhah access at the Prophet’s Mosque. The advisory highlights fraud attempts targeting Indonesian pilgrims during the Hajj period.

Head of Hajj Media Center (MCH) for Indonesian Hajj Officers 2026, Ichsan Marsha, said pilgrims must remain vigilant against fraud schemes. He stressed that access to Raudhah is free and only available through official channels.

“Pilgrims are advised to be cautious of scams claiming Nusuk card issues by asking them to click links sent via WhatsApp. Do not trust and do not click any links they send,” Ichsan Marsha said.

Ichsan Marsha added that official access to Raudhah uses a barcode system. The system applies through collective permits or the Nusuk application for individual pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Head of Madinah Working Area for Indonesian Hajj Officers, Khalilurrahman, said access to Raudhah is part of official services. He emphasized that all Indonesian pilgrims have equal rights to access the area.

“Access to Raudhah is free. If anyone offers services and asks for payment, report them immediately to officers, especially in the Nabawi sector,” Khalilurrahman said.

Head of Religious Guidance Section in Madinah Working Area, Efrilen Hafizh, said the permit system is arranged in an orderly schedule. He noted that 25,564 permits had been approved as of April 28, 2026.

She also added that Saudi Arabia applies strict rules for Raudhah access using barcode verification. He said the system ensures organized access for both group and individual pilgrims.

The Indonesian government ensures coordinated supervision to protect pilgrims from fraud and misuse. It reaffirmed commitment to safe, orderly worship without any unauthorized charges.
