RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - International sympathy has poured in following the deadly train collision in Bekasi, Indonesia. Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Faisal Abdullah Al Amoudi conveyed condolences to the victims and their families after the accident involving the Argo Bromo train and a commuter line.
“We extend our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the government and people of Indonesia over the recent train collision, which has resulted in casualties and injuries,” Ambassador Faisal said in a statement delivered in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
He shared the message during a graduation ceremony at the Institute for Islamic and Arabic Studies (LIPIA) Jakarta, attended by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Hidayat Nur Wahid, and representatives of Arab countries.
The ambassador also offered prayers for the victims, hoping those who died would be granted the highest honor and those injured would recover swiftly.
“We pray that Allah grants His mercy to those who have passed away, places them in the most honorable paradise, and gives healing to the injured, as well as strength and comfort to the bereaved families,” he said.
Faisal further expressed solidarity with Indonesia’s government and people, especially those directly affected by the tragedy.
“We stand in solidarity with our brothers in this tragedy and pray that Allah continues to protect Indonesia and all Muslim nations from harm and disaster,” he added. ***
