Indonesia Delivers Warm Meals to Pilgrims in Madinah with Care

RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - The Indonesian government ensures structured meal services for Hajj pilgrims in Madinah during 2026. The system was implemented in Madinah on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Meals are distributed directly to hotels where Indonesian pilgrims are staying. This scheme is designed to support comfort, health, and focus during worship activities.

A total of 23 catering kitchens are involved in preparing meals for Indonesian pilgrims. All production and distribution processes are closely monitored to maintain food quality and safety standards.

Besides, the meal distribution is conducted three times daily, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedules. Food delivery directly to hotels helps elderly pilgrims avoid unnecessary physical strain.

Menus feature Indonesian flavors using authentic spice pastes familiar to pilgrims. This approach ensures meals remain suitable and enjoyable during their stay in Madinah.

Head of Consumption Division for Indonesian Hajj Organizers in Saudi Arabia, Indri Hapsari, conveyed that the quality control process. She emphasized that meals undergo testing before being distributed to pilgrims.

The following is her statement delivered during a briefing session in Madinah attended by officers. She highlighted the importance of maintaining food standards for all pilgrims.

“We conduct meal tests at the Daker (Working Area) or accommodation before distribution to pilgrims, ensuring the meals meet required standards in both portion size and quality,” she said.

She added that meals are distributed at scheduled times and follow nutritional standards recommended by health experts. With this system, Indonesian pilgrims can focus on worship without logistical concerns.
