RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - The Indonesian Hajj officers continue to optimize arrival services for pilgrims in Medina. The statement was delivered by Head of Airport Operations Abdul Basir in Madinah on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

As of that day, two groups of Indonesian pilgrims arrived through different service routes at Madinah Airport. Group JKG 1 (Jakarta embarkation) used the Mecca Route, while the YIA group exited through the Hajj Terminal.

The arrival process remains a top priority for Hajj officers at Madinah Airport during this operational period. Services are maintained consistently in both fast track areas and regular Hajj terminals.

Head of Airport Operations, Abdul Basir, emphasized that all officers must stay focused on delivering the best services. He highlighted the importance of readiness and coordination at every service point.

The following is his statement regarding the arrival services for Indonesian pilgrims at Madinah Airport. He described the overall service performance and conditions on that day.

“Alhamdulillah, the arrival of pilgrims today has gone smoothly. Our officers at all service points remain on standby to ensure fast, orderly, and comfortable service,” he said.

He explained that different arrival routes require responsive, adaptive, and well-coordinated service patterns from all officers. This ensures pilgrims feel safe, assisted, and comfortable immediately upon arrival in Madinah.

Basir also stressed the importance of attentive service for elderly pilgrims and other vulnerable groups. Officers are expected to assist them from the moment they disembark from the aircraft.

In addition, pilgrims are advised to maintain their health during their stay in Saudi Arabia. He urged them to drink enough water and manage activities during hot weather conditions.

“We urge pilgrims to drink enough water regularly and not wait until they feel thirsty. Additionally, pilgrims are advised to limit activities during the daytime to maintain their physical condition,” he added.
