RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj ensured all services are free before pilgrims arrive in Medina. Head of Medina Working Area (Daker), Khalilurahman made the statement in Madinah on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

The appeal was conveyed during a morning assembly of hajj officers (PPIH) held simultaneously across all service sectors. Indonesian authorities urged pilgrims to coordinate only with authorized officials who carry clear and verifiable identification.

He delivered the statement ahead of the first arrivals of Indonesian pilgrims. He emphasized that all services are fully prepared and provided without any additional charges for pilgrims.

He highlighted that officials are assigned to guide, serve, and protect pilgrims throughout their stay in the Holy Land. Maintaining integrity in every service line is essential to ensure safety, trust, and comfort for all pilgrims.

Before delivering his statement, he stressed the importance of professionalism and integrity among officers serving Indonesian pilgrims. He reminded that all interactions with pilgrims must consistently prioritize service, accountability, and ethical conduct.

"All services for pilgrims are free of charge, and pilgrims are also advised to only deal with authorized officials who have clear identification," he said.

He added that officers must prioritize service and should not expect any form of compensation from pilgrims. All services have been prepared carefully to ensure pilgrims are not charged any fees at any stage.

"Officers are here to serve, not to be served. All services are prepared, and pilgrims will not be charged any fees," he conveyed.

Pilgrims are reminded to stay vigilant and avoid interacting with individuals without official identification attributes. They should only communicate with officers wearing official logos, names, and clear ministry identification.

The Indonesian Hajj Task Force also urged pilgrims to report any violations through official reporting channels immediately. Reports can be submitted via the Kawal Haji application or through sector and working area officers in the field.
