Indonesian Air Force and RSAF Discuss Joint Exercises

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) are reinforcing bilateral cooperation through a high-level meeting held in Jakarta.
In a press statement received by RRI VOI on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, Air Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, received a courtesy call from RSAF Chief of Staff – Air Staff, Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen, at the VIP Room of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta on Monday, April 20, 2026.
During the meeting, both sides discussed enhancing cooperation through joint exercises, as well as exploring opportunities for collaboration in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR).
Tonny underscored the importance of close relations between the Indonesian Air Force and the RSAF in maintaining regional stability and security.
Meanwhile, Ho Kum Luen expressed appreciation for the ongoing cooperation, including the participation of the Jupiter Aerobatic Team in the Singapore Airshow some time ago.
The meeting is expected to further strengthen synergy and interoperability between the two air forces in addressing the dynamics of the regional strategic environment.
Ho Kum Luen was accompanied by several senior RSAF officials, including the Head of Air Intelligence, Commander of the Helicopter Group, Deputy Commander of Changi Air Base, Commander of Sembawang Air Base, former Deputy Head of Air Operations (Strategy & Plans), the Singapore Air Attaché, and other RSAF officers.
