The first group arrived safely at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Tuesday, April 14, at 6:00 p.m. local time after traveling from Baku.
Upon arrival, they were handed over to regional authorities, including Jakarta’s social services and liaison offices from West Java, Central Java, and Lampung, for onward return to their hometowns, the Foreign Affairs Ministry official website reported.
The second batch is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, April 15, followed by the third on Thursday, April 16.
The evacuation is part of the Indonesian government’s response, led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its overseas missions, particularly the Indonesian embassies in Tehran and Baku, to ensure the safety and protection of its citizens in conflict-affected areas.
