Minister Receives Palestinian Ambassador, Highlights Brotherhood

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, received Palestine’s Ambassador to discuss humanitarian cooperation and shared values. The meeting took place in Jakarta on Monday, April 13, 2026.
It highlighted deep-rooted solidarity between the Indonesian government and the Palestinian people. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs office in Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta. Palestine’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulfattah A.K. Al-Sattari, expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s consistent and unwavering support toward Palestine. Before delivering his statement, the ambassador highlighted the emotional and historical bond between the two countries. He noted that Indonesia’s support has remained consistent and sincere over time. He then conveyed his remarks during the meeting with the minister.
"Thank you Minister of Religious Affairs for today’s meeting. Our relationship is not merely diplomatic, it is like brothers, even beyond brothers," he said.

He said such resources can become a powerful force in supporting global humanitarian efforts. Nasaruddin Umar also explained the example of community fund circulation at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
