RRI.CO.ID, Tokyo - The 3rd Indonesia Handicraft Mega Exhibition will once again be held at Tokyo Dome, Japan, scheduled for September 5-6, 2026. The event continues the success of the 2025 edition held at the same venue.

The high enthusiasm of Japanese visitors has become the main reason for organizing it again.

Participants of the exhibition are required to pay a deposit of IDR 1 million to join the selection process. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 24 MSMEs that pass a strict curation process.

Chairman of the organizing committee, Richard Susilo, said the exhibition will showcase a variety of leading products. These include batik, woven textiles, natural materials, and high-quality artworks.

“This exhibition presents unique Indonesian handicrafts with high value. The products come from the country’s best artisans,” Richard said in a written statement on Monday, April 13, 2026.

The event serves as a platform to promote Indonesian culture in Japan. It also opens business opportunities and expands international market networks. “That is why we have reduced the deposit to IDR 1 million. This opportunity is widely open for Indonesian MSMEs,” he said.

The success of the previous year showed strong interest from Japanese consumers in Indonesian products. Visitors filled the exhibition area throughout the two-day event. “Only high-quality products can participate in this exhibition," said Richard, adding that around 500,000 visitors are expected to come.

The organizers hope the number of visitors and buyers will increase this year. Indonesia’s image in the Japanese market is also expected to grow stronger. “This year we are presenting 24 of Indonesia’s best MSMEs. The products include clothing, bags, accessories, footwear, and other handicrafts,” he added.

Registration has opened with the deposit deadline set for April 30, 2026. So far, 10 MSMEs have registered to take part in the selection process.
