RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - More than 200 Indonesians living in Poland gathered in Warsaw to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, combining religious observance with a renewed emphasis on community ties and legal awareness abroad.

The Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw hosted the Eid prayer and a halalbihalal gathering at Wisma Duta, bringing together members of the diaspora from diverse backgrounds, including migrant workers and students.

During the event, Indonesia’s Charge d’Affaires ad interim in Warsaw, Agus Heryana, reminded Indonesians in Poland to remain mindful of local laws and consular issues while living overseas.

“We urge all Indonesian citizens to always comply with local laws and regulations, and to remain vigilant against potential consular issues,” Agus said in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday, March 23, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

The Eid prayer was led by Sutrisno, a doctoral student pursuing his studies in Poland. Following the prayer, attendees took part in a halalbihalal session, using the occasion to reconnect and strengthen social bonds.

Despite the cold weather in Warsaw, around 5 degrees Celsius, the gathering was marked by a warm and festive atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of unity and togetherness among Indonesians abroad.

The embassy expressed hope that the celebration would further strengthen solidarity within the Indonesian community in Poland, as Muslims in the country, including the Indonesian diaspora, marked Eid al-Fitr on March 20, 2026, signaling the end of the holy month of Ramadan. ***
