RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, expressed deep appreciation for the wave of solidarity shown by the Indonesian people amidst the ongoing aggression hitting his country. In an official video message on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, he expressed gratitude for various forms of humanitarian support and firm stances taken regarding the conflict.

He expressed how moved he was by the immense attention from Indonesian citizens that continues to flow into the embassy office in Jakarta. He detailed various forms of sympathy, ranging from floral arrangements and thousands of letters to direct visits to offer condolences.

"Amidst this situation, the honorable people of Indonesia have provided support to us through various means; from sending hundreds of flower boards to thousands of letters, and coming directly to the embassy to express condolences over the martyrdom of our leader," Boroujerdi stated.

Furthermore, he condemned the actions of the adversary, which he deemed to have violated ethical boundaries and international norms during the attacks. The Iranian Ambassador affirmed that the aggression has targeted civilian infrastructure, universities, and historical sites protected under the laws of war.

Boroujerdi also highlighted the firm stance of the Iranian government, which will not open room for negotiations or a ceasefire in the near future. According to him, the struggle will persist until the opposing party realizes its mistakes and provides concrete security guarantees.

"This war will continue until our enemies regret their actions, realize their mistakes, and until we receive guarantees that no further attacks will occur during the negotiation process," he conveyed.

As a practical step, the embassy has now established an official mechanism for Indonesians who wish to contribute to the reconstruction of affected areas. He urged that all donations be channeled only through the official embassy account to ensure transparency and proper targeting.
