RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Dato' Mohammad Iman Hascarya Kusumo, met with hundreds of students and teachers of Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) during a Ramadan gathering in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, aimed at strengthening ties with the Indonesian education community abroad.

“I am very proud to meet and get to know the students and teachers,” the ambassador said while interacting with the school community, as quoted by Antara, describing the SIKL teachers and students as “heroes of education and the nation’s future generation.”

He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education, strengthening unity, and ensuring that Indonesian children grow into future leaders who are faithful, knowledgeable, and high achieving. He emphasized that every Indonesian child has the right to quality education and that the government has the responsibility to ensure access to education for all citizens.

“During this holy month of Ramadan, let us strengthen our faith and devotion while remaining enthusiastic in the learning and teaching process,” he said.

The event also featured a Ramadan sermon, student art performances, and concluded with a communal iftar and Maghrib prayer.

Also attending the event were Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Danang Waskito, Acting Education and Cultural Attaché Jopkie Kurniawan, Acting Head of SIKL Mashudi, along with teachers and parents. ***
