Sugiono Contacts Saudi FM, Discusses Escalating Middle East Conflict

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sugiono, spoke by phone with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, on 4 March to discuss the latest escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
During the call, both sides expressed deep concern over rising tensions that could further threaten regional security and stability.
“We expressed deep concern over the latest escalation of conflict in the Middle East,” Sugiono said during the phone call with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, as quoted from the official X account @menluri on Wednesday.
Sugiono underscored the importance of upholding the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity for all states in accordance with international law and the United Nations (UN) Charter.

He also conveyed Indonesia’s continued support for de-escalation efforts and called on all parties to show maximum restraint to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
