RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian embassies across the Middle East have urged their citizens to remain vigilant following fresh military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The attacks mark the second such action under US President Donald Trump after a similar strike in June 2025. Trump said US forces carried out a major military operation in Iran to eliminate what he described as threats linked to Tehran’s alleged nuclear weapons development.

The escalation came days after Washington and Tehran concluded a third round of indirect nuclear talks in Geneva, mediated by Oman, Antara reported.

In the United Arab Emirates, the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi advised citizens to continue daily activities with caution, avoid potentially affected areas, and monitor official information.

Indonesians requiring assistance can contact +971-566156259, while those in the northern emirates may reach the Indonesian Consulate General in Dubai at +971-563322611 or +971-564170333.

In Iran, the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran called on citizens to remain calm, stay alert, and take protective measures at home. Emergency assistance is available at +989024668889.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Embassy in Muscat urged Indonesians in Oman to increase vigilance following reports of explosions, airspace closures, and flight cancellations. Citizens are advised to follow official instructions, postpone non-essential travel, secure important documents, and prepare emergency essentials. The Muscat hotline is available at +968-9600-0210.

Indonesian missions in the region said they are closely monitoring developments and will continue coordinating with local authorities to ensure the safety of their nationals. ***
