RRI.CO.ID, Abu Dhabi - President Prabowo Subianto and President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) agreed to foster bilateral relations and enhance investment cooperation. This agreement was reached during a warm bilateral meeting at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace, Abu Dhabi, on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

Both heads of state discussed concrete steps to deepen the strategic partnership, particularly in the economic sector. President MBZ expressed the United Arab Emirates' full commitment to continuously increasing its investment value in Indonesia.

"The meeting discussed cooperation to enhance investment. Bilateral relations are being strengthened. The UAE wants to increase its investments in Indonesia," Teddy Indra Wijaya said, who accompanied President Prabowo in the meeting.

This synergy marks the increasingly close and mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries for their respective peoples. Indonesia is seen as a key partner in Southeast Asia for future infrastructure and energy development.

President Prabowo welcomed the commitment and affirmed Indonesia's readiness to maintain a conducive investment climate. The government also opened up broader collaboration opportunities in various national priority sectors for UAE investors.

This strategic meeting reinforces the direction of bilateral relations toward a more comprehensive and long-term oriented partnership. The commitment of both leaders serves as a strong foundation for economic stability and cooperation in the region.

This momentum feels special as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the UAE in 2026. Half a century of friendship is now entering a new phase focused on economic growth and future partnerships.
